Carol Marine resides in Austin, TX with her husband David and son Jacob. She graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in Fine Art.

Carol currently shows her larger work in the Wally Workman Gallery. In October 2006 Carol began her painting a day project and has thoroughly enjoyed the freedom gained by painting small and often. Her subjects are usually ordinary objects, often fruit, cups, flowers, etc.

Carol’s work has been featured in local and national magazines, including Southwest Art. She has also been featured in several online magazines, including Empty Easel and Lines & Colors. In 2006 she was invited to participate in the “Artist for the New Century” show at the Bennington Center for the Arts in Vermont. Carol is the Vice President of Plein Air Austin and paints out with them as often as she can.
